{"id":3315,"date":"2025-08-23T06:53:46","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T10:53:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stsimeonmiami.org\/news\/sunday-school-school-year-2025-2026\/"},"modified":"2025-09-21T10:28:48","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T14:28:48","slug":"sunday-school-school-year-2025-2026","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/stsimeonmiami.org\/en\/news\/sunday-school-school-year-2025-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday School (School Year 2025-2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"&#x443;&#x43F;&#x438;&#x441;-&#x443;-&#x43D;&#x435;&#x434;&#x435;&#x459;&#x43D;&#x443;-&#x448;&#x43A;&#x43E;&#x43B;&#x443;-7-&#x441;&#x435;&#x43F;&#x442;&#x435;&#x43C;&#x431;&#x430;&#x440;-2025\">\ud83d\udcda Sunday School Registration \u2013 September 7, 2025 <\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A New School Year Begins at Our Parish<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dear Parishioners,<br\/>With God&#8217;s blessing, we joyfully announce the beginning of a new school year for our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stsimeonmiami.org\/en\/sunday-school\/\">parish Sunday school<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc5 <strong>Registration Day:<\/strong> Sunday, <strong>September 7, 2025<\/strong><br\/>\ud83d\udd59 <strong>Time:<\/strong> 10:00 a.m.<br\/>\ud83d\udccd <strong>Location:<\/strong> Church Hall<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration forms are available in <strong>Serbian and English<\/strong> \u2013 please complete them in the language that is most convenient for you.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"&#x441;&#x442;&#x430;&#x440;&#x43E;&#x441;&#x43D;&#x435;-&#x433;&#x440;&#x443;&#x43F;&#x435;-&#x438;-&#x443;&#x447;&#x438;&#x442;&#x435;&#x459;&#x438;\">\ud83e\uddd2 Age Groups and Teachers<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year we are organizing the school into three groups:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ages <strong>3\u20135<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ages <strong>5\u20138<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ages <strong>8 and up<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our dedicated teachers \u2013 <strong>Vlada<\/strong>, <strong>Zorica<\/strong>, and <strong>Aleksandra<\/strong> \u2013 will welcome you on Sunday, September 7, at 10 a.m. in the hall to collect completed registration forms or provide blank ones for completion. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Important:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Groups 2 and 3<\/strong> (ages 5\u20138 and 8+) will begin classes <strong>immediately after registration.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Group 1<\/strong> (ages 3\u20135) will begin classes on <strong>October 5<\/strong>, when their teacher, <strong>Protinica Sava<\/strong>, returns from Serbia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"&#x438;&#x441;&#x43A;&#x440;&#x435;&#x43D;&#x430;-&#x43C;&#x43E;&#x43B;&#x431;&#x430;-&#x440;&#x43E;&#x434;&#x438;&#x442;&#x435;&#x459;&#x438;&#x43C;&#x430;\">\ud83d\ude4f a Sincere Request to Parents<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every year the school year begins with great enthusiasm \u2013 parents enroll their children, teachers prepare materials and lessons. However, after just a few weeks, absences and tardiness begin, which seriously affects the school&#8217;s operation. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please consider the following:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Irregular attendance and tardiness disrupt instruction<\/strong> and work with the children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When children do not come to class, <strong>prepared materials are wasted<\/strong>, and the teachers&#8217; efforts are undermined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tardiness disrupts the flow of the lesson<\/strong>, as everything must be repeated for those who arrive late. This is not fair to the teachers or to the children who attend regularly. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the end of each year, children receive <strong>diplomas and gifts<\/strong> for regular attendance. It is not appropriate to give the same recognition to those who attend sporadically. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are not certain that you will be able to bring your child <strong>regularly<\/strong>, please do not enroll them this year \u2013 there will be opportunities later.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let us not forget: <strong>it is not up to the children, it is up to the parents.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"&#x443;&#x43F;&#x438;&#x441;-&#x443;-&#x444;&#x43E;&#x43B;&#x43A;&#x43B;&#x43E;&#x440;&#x43D;&#x443;-&#x438;-&#x431;&#x43E;&#x440;&#x438;&#x43B;&#x430;&#x447;&#x43A;&#x443;-&#x441;&#x435;&#x43A;&#x446;&#x438;&#x458;&#x443;\">\ud83d\udc83 Registration for Folk Dance and Martial Arts Programs<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to Sunday school, on the same day we are also organizing:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Folk dance group registration<\/strong>: If you wish your children to participate, please register them on Sunday, September 7. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Martial arts classes<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/stsimeonmiami.org\/en\/businesses\/my-vlma-martial-arts-center-drakulic\/\">Our parishioner and martial arts grandmaster, <strong>Milo\u0161 Drakuli\u0107<\/strong><\/a>, has offered to lead training sessions for children in the church hall <strong>after the Divine Liturgy<\/strong>. Registration is also available on that day. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We look forward to a new, blessed school year in our community.
